- don't stop in the middle of sentences - keep reading until you reach an appropriate punctuation mark
- don't speak like a robot - speak with expression (character)
- don't mumble - speak clearly
- if you get stuck or confused, reread the sentence or paragraph
- don't be scared - speak with confidence (pretend if you have to)
- speak with enough volume for others to hear, change the volume as appropriate
- vary the pace with which you speak. Sometimes you need to be quicker or slower, depending on the text
- change the tone of your voice, depending on the topic
